SB Home Renovations and Studio Nine Interiors collaborated on a walk-out basement renovation project, along with the addition of a back patio, located in Taylorsville, KY. The project involved transforming the basement into a multi-purpose space with various areas for entertainment, kids, and a gym. The total square footage of the project was 1900.

The walk-out basement now features a spacious living area, a bathroom, a bar, a bunk room, and a gym. The oversized bar, complete with built-in banquette seating, serves as the central hub for entertaining guests. The industrial craftsman style is achieved through the use of brick accent walls and black touches, adding a touch of industrial flair to the space.

The newly renovated bunk room and bathroom provide comfortable accommodations for overnight guests. The basement also includes a gym area, allowing the homeowners to stay active without leaving the comfort of their home.

One of the highlights of the project is the back patio, which seamlessly extends the entertainment space. The custom masonry fireplace serves as a focal point, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for outdoor gatherings.

The main challenge encountered during the project was space planning for the oversized bar. To address this, several iterations of cabinet designs were explored to ensure optimal functionality
and aesthetics.

Several industry trends and unique features were incorporated into the design. The channeled banquette upholstery adds a touch of sophistication and texture to the seating area. The bunk room
provides a fun and comfortable space for guests to stay overnight. The brick feature wall adds character and visual interest to the basement. The exterior masonry fireplace creates a cozy outdoor ambiance. Lastly, the pub-style bar adds a touch of elegance and serves as a focal point in the basement.
